Tutorials to help you (and me) get started with CAD/CAM on a small CNC Mill/Lathe

It is said that the best way to learn something well is to teach it to someone else. I have created this site as a way for me to share what I am learning with others. If you are less experienced, it is my hope that you will find these tutorials helpful to you as you learn. If you are more experienced, it is my hope that you will check out what has been written and offer constructive help to improve or to add to these tutorials.

These tutorials are dedicated to everyone who is learning about CNC machining, with gratitude to those who have helped me (and are still helping me) along the way.

All of the sample tutorial projects are intended for the beginning CNC enthusiast who has a 2D CAD/CAM package a small mill or lathe and possibly a rotary axis. This site is not an effort to promote any specific equipment but rather to show you how I am learning to make a finished part from start to finish using what I have.

As I learn more about how to use my equipment, I hope to assemble additional tutorials for different kinds of operations.
