Here is my Sherline long-bed lathe, mounted on a sheet of 1/4" steel for stability. The large aluminum housing that you can see on the left, is a custom spindle encoder. As I learn more about CNC turning, I will be able to turn accurate threads. Right now, it just looks cool.
