In this screen shot, you can see the Dolphin CAM software screen after the part profiles have been transferred from the CAD screen at the press of a button. The top left window contains the tool definitions while the lower left window contains the machining operations. The right window is used to display the part operations. Notice the lathe jaws (left) and the lathe tool (right). The raw material to be turned is represented by a gray shadow. The part to be turned is shown as a profile within the raw material. The CAM software will allow me to verify the tool paths before I generate the G-Code for my controller. |
