Tehachapi Robotics Competition
thumb20041127 - The LEGO Mountaineers.jpg Today, our team went to the Tehachapi competition. We had high hopes about what we were going to be doing. We all wore the shirts that the Microsoft OneNote team had custom made for us, (Thanks OneNote!). When we got there, we were surprised at how well run the competition was. The awards were very elegant and we hoped that we would win one. Throughout the competition our robot didn't do as well as it did last time. Our robot performance went from 3rd place to 5th place, which we held the entire competition. The most amazing match that took place was the match Wendy and I did together. The entire arm, with the exception of one gearbox, completely fell off. We realized that it would take too much time to fix it so we just sent it off again. The arm stayed on and completed all the missions before it completely fell off at the end of the match! Other than some of the problems on the robot the rest of the competition went wonderfully well.
